Audacity is a free sound editing software usually used for Musicians and Producers. however, after doing some research when doing the sound and vision project, I discovered that there was a technique where you are able to glitch your images using Audacity. to do this you must import your photograph as a Raw image and then play around with the different effects such as 'echo', 'reverb' or 'pitch' etc. I soon learn that you had to select a certain part of the track otherwise the whole file would corrupt leaving you with an unrecognisable image like those on the following post. (which i actually do think I prefer!) even though there is a step by step process to go about this process, it does seem to have a mind of its own which is what made it exciting as you never know what it is going to do. another interesting thing i discovered is that when I import the image file it also converts it into sound. some ranging from 2 minutes all the way up to 18 depending on the size of the file. I thought this would be great to have used in my piece somehow, as it would be appropriate using the actual sound of the imagine itself. but thats if I have time to edit this at the end. If not for future references.
